The library will reopen Monday, January 27, 2020 for our normal hours!

The Lebanon Community Library will be closed through January 25, 2020 for complete flooring replacement. While the project is going well, the extra week will be required to complete the project. Updates will be posted on the main door of the library, online at lebanon.lclibs.org, on the library’s facebook page, and on the library’s outgoing phone message (717-273-7624).

“While we knew for certain we would need at least one week for this project, we prepared for the possibility of needing two weeks. The project is coming along nicely, and the library will reopen as soon as possible. We’re eager to have our patrons return and see the beautiful new floor!” said Library Director Michelle Hawk. “In order to reopen as soon as possible, the public areas of the library are the priority, and staff areas will be completed later, after the library reopens.”

While the library is closed, limited library services will be provided via a pop-up library in the lobby of the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA, next door to the library at 201 N. 7th St., Lebanon, PA. Services will include pick-up of requested items, storytimes, and limited internet access. Although no library materials are due while the library is closed, materials may be returned either in the library’s outdoor bookdrop as usual, or at the pop-up library. The library is grateful to the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA for being such a great neighbor!

Thank you for bearing with us through our remodeling project! The painting is almost complete, and our flooring will be replaced beginning January 13th! While we were able to stay open during the painting, we must close for the flooring project. The library will be closed January 13—18, with the possibility of being closed part or all of the following week as well, depending on how quickly the project goes. We will of course keep you posted as best we can!

Our goal is always to provide library service to the community. To that end, please visit our pop-up library next door at the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA! The pop-up library will be open regular library hours and will offer the following services:

  • Pick-up of holds
  • Storytimes
  • Limited internet access

The YMCA is located just north of the library at 201 N. 7th St. You may also visit our other Lebanon County Libraries.

You can stay up-to-date on our reopening on facebook or by calling the library (717-273-7624) and listening to our outgoing message, which will be updated.

This project is supported in part through a grant from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Dept of Education, with funds provided from the Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund.
Additional support is thanks to the generosity of Mr. Mina Yanney.
