Adventure Begins at Your Library

The 2024 Summer Learning Program, Adventure Begins at Your Library, begins June 3, 2024 with Lebanon County Libraries! This program is geared for ages 2-10.

To participate:

  • Sign up at the library or online with Beanstack.
  • Attend programs.
  • Log your reading online using Beanstack, or pick up or print a log below or at the library.
  • All Summer Learning information, schedules, and reporting tools will be posted here.
  • Visit the library to borrow books, and also borrow books online from the eLibrary at https://lclibs.overdrive.com/
  • We’ll also share announcements on the Library’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/lebanoncommunitylibrary).
  • Return your completed activities to the library by (date to be announced).

Choose how you want to log your reading and activities! Either log online using Beanstack, OR log on paper at the library!

Whether you log your reading on Beanstack or on paper, for every 120 minutes you read AND one activity you complete you’ll receive a free book to keep!

Programs:

Tues. June 11 @ 10:30am: Magical Adventures. Be amazed by the illusions of Magician Mike Rose.

Wed. June 12 @10:30am: Summer Storytime. Stories are most appropriate for ages 3-6. No registration is required. Adults are asked to stay with children during the stories.

Wed. June 12 3-6pm: Explorer Afternoons. Stop in for activities and games.

Tues. June 18 @ 10:30am: Science Heroes: Adventure of the Lost Treasure. Talewise presents a storytelling science adventure.

Wed. June 19 @10:30am: Summer Storytime. Stories are most appropriate for ages 3-6. No registration is required. Adults are asked to stay with children during the stories.

Wed. June 19 3-6pm: Explorer Afternoons. Stop in for activities and games.

Thurs. June 20 @1pm: 4-H Acres of Adventures. Presented by Lebanon County 4-H. Open to ages 5-12.

Tues. June 25 @ 10:30am: Reptile Explorers. Jesse Rothacker visits with some of his slithery, scaly friends.

Wed. June 26 @10:30am: Summer Storytime. Stories are most appropriate for ages 3-6. No registration is required. Adults are asked to stay with children during the stories.

Wed. June 26 3-6pm: Explorer Afternoons. Stop in for activities and games.

Thurs. June 27 @1pm: 4-H Acres of Adventures. Presented by Lebanon County 4-H. Open to ages 5-12.

Fri. June 28 @ 4pm: Insect Adventures. “Bugman” Ryan Bridge introduces us to some amazing insects.

Wed. July 3 3-6pm: Explorer Afternoons. Stop in for activities and games.

Tues. July 9 @10:30am: Summer Adventure Puppet Show. Laugh along with puppeteer Adam Swartz!

Wed. July 10 @10:30am: Summer Storytime. Stories are most appropriate for ages 3-6. No registration is required. Adults are asked to stay with children during the stories.

Wed. July 10 3-6pm: Explorer Afternoons. Stop in for activities and games.

Thurs. July 11 @1pm: 4-H Acres of Adventures. Presented by Lebanon County 4-H. Open to ages 5-12.

Tues. July 16 @10:30am: Where the Wild Things Are. How does being big and scary help animals in the wild?

Tues. July 23 @10:30am: Creepy Crawly Party. Insects, spiders and slimy creatures.

Wed. July 24 @10:30am: Summer Storytime. Stories are most appropriate for ages 3-6. No registration is required. Adults are asked to stay with children during the stories.

Thurs. July 25 @1pm: 4-H Acres of Adventures. Presented by Lebanon County 4-H. Open to ages 5-12.

Tues. July 30 @10:30am: Water Olympics. What’s so special about water?

Thurs. August 1 @1pm: 4-H Acres of Adventures. Presented by Lebanon County 4-H. Open to ages 5-12.
